First time trying this place out. I gave it a 3 star because of the "nachos" were stale and even though they gave me a new order it didn't change the fact that they were still stale, under a lamp doesn't keep them fresh for long. If you can find a way to keep the chips fresh would be great! Steak Tacos(flour and corn / hard and soft) meat was very tender and flavor. Sauce options pretty good! Menus options not bad.
Price not bad about $15 a piece.
The Enchilada burrito wasn't great. There was no one ahead of me in line, but it took over 20 minutes to place 2 orders for takeout and get the food. My wife said her burrito bowl was pretty good. I did like that you can actually see them grilling the meat.

Lost two stars on atmosphere because the music was so loud you couldn't hold a conversation. Glad they have a drive through, I'll use that next time.
Let's get right to it!! I ordered the hard shell tacos with hamburger.. the shell was crispy and had a good flavor... the meat had a great taste..these were some really good tacos y'all.!! Hubby got the steak tacos..he also had the hard shells.. when you take a bite it just cracks.. he enjoyed the steak. We also ordered the queso .. goodness in a little container!! If you want some great Mexican food..this is the place. We sat in the car.. because that's what we do sometimes lol..we got to see a show!! A Coopers hawk was sitting on the light pole..it kept diving in the tall weeded area for something and flying back.. beautiful bird!!
Absolutely the best service and friendly environment that you could have at a food place. The best flavors and presentation of all there food options on the menu. I’m a loyal customer I’ve been eating here since they’ve opened. Very fast delivery of the food and staff will also ask to take your trash for you! 100% would recommend eating here for any occasion.
We decided to come here because all of the people with 1 star reviews seemed like people who would annoy me. Very clean fast and good quality food. Only 4 stars becuase I'm not a fan of the bowl or burrito thing which limited my options.
The food is quite tasty. I have had their pork, steak, and chicken and I prefer the pork and chicken. The chicken has a wonderful grilled flavor. Their salsa station has 3 options and they are really good. My preference is the chipotle salsa. I also really like that I can put on a much cilantro and red onion as I like from the salsa station.
The only drawback is the noise level. It is really noisy if you're dining in. But their outdoor patio helps reduce that if you are inclined to eat outside.
Service is very quick and if you're dining in they'll bring it to your table.
If THESE are the tacos GUZMAN Y GOMEZ are selling, this location won't last long. It can't compete with real Mexican food. Raw tortillas. RAW TORTILLAS IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR TACOS. Any good Mexican eatery knows this. Terrible taco construction. Scant ingredients, and those scant ingredients are swimming in grease.
Visit Antigua or Cazuelitas. Head to McHenry for La Huerta. Leave GUZMAN Y GOMEZ to the folks seeking inoffensive "excitement" for their early bird dinner. Abuelita would be disappointed with this kitchen.
